The Columbus School Board of Trustees recently passed a resolution to sell and dispose of obsolete school equipment and materials. NOTICE OF RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO SELL/DISPOSE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, certain personal property owned by Columbus School District No. 6, Stillwater County, Montana, has been determined by the Board of Trustees of said School Districts to be obsolete, surplus, and unsuitable for school purposes because it is out of date, replaced by updated technology/equipment, or no longer usable;
WHEREAS, said property is generally described as follows:
Obsolete Classroom Furniture: Including but not limited to student desks, chairs, tables, and storage cabinets.
Obsolete Instructional Materials: Including but not limited to outdated student textbooks, library books, and teacher manuals.
Outdated Technology & Hardware: Including but not limited to laptops, monitors, printers, and miscellaneous equipment.
General School Equipment: Any other specific items identified by the administration as no longer functional or necessary for district operations.
Maintenance Equipment: Including but not limited to ATVs (Kawasaki Mules 4010 and 3010), mowing and grounds equipment (Lastec Articulating Mower, Turfco Mete-R-Matic Top Dresser), welders (Millermatic 210 Mig, Lincoln Electric AC/DC), etc.
Activity Bus: 2000 Prevost 56 Passenger
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 20-6-604, MCA, the Board of Trustees is required to adopt a resolution to sell or otherwise dispose of said property in the most expeditious and fiscally responsible manner possible;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Trustees of Columbus School District No. 6 authorize the sale, donation, or disposal of the property described above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution will become effective fourteen (14) days after the publication of this notice in a newspaper of general circulation within the county, as required by law.
