Paraprofessionals

Columbus Schools is actively seeking a Middle School and a High School Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. The HS position will primarily be responsible for one on one instruction and the MS position will be a combination of one-on-one and small group instruction.  These positions are full time during the school year only with summer months off. Benefits include health insurance, Teachers Retirement System (TRS), sick and vacation per law, and holiday pay. Pay range is between $15.50-$16.50/hour DOE.

School Nutrition Staff

Columbus Schools is immediately seeking School Food Program Staff for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will assist in the daily operations of all facets of school nutrition including, but not limited to, food preparation, following meal standards, cooking, baking, serving, and sanitizing. This position is seasonal and during the school year only with the summer months off. Benefits include health insurance , Public Employee Retirement System, sick and vacation leave per law, and holiday pay. Pay range is between $15.00-$16.00 DOE. School Bus Drivers

(Paid Training for Routes/Substitutes/Activities) From start to finish, get paid while you study and practice driving with a certified instructor toward obtaining a Class B CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement. $15/hr until certified, then $21/hr (beginning wage). We'll train you first as a substitute, then offer regular route driving opportunities as they arise. Full time route drivers (4 hrs daily) receive district insurance benefits, paid vacation and sick leave, cost reimbursement for required certificates, etc. Must have a clean driver's record to qualify for training. Must obtain a 1st Aid/CPR certificate (cost reimbursed by district), obtain a DOT Physical (reimbursed by the district), submit to a mandatory pre-entry drug test, and be part of the random drug testing pool.Apply online, submit form to Casey Klasna, Supt. SUV Substitute Driver

Part-time substitute driver wanted to transport two students to or from East Laurel mornings and/or afternoons using a Ford Expedition SUV. $21hr. Position will fill in for the regular driver when needed on a bus route. Two hrs. guaranteed each drive. No special licensing beyond a clean driver's record is needed. Must obtain a 1st Aid/CPR certificate (cost reimbursed by district), obtain a DOT Physical (reimbursed by the district), submit to a mandatory pre-entry drug test, and be part of the random drug testing pool.  Apply online, submit form to Casey Klasna, Supt.
