Columbus Public Schools is actively searching for a school nutrition worker to start immediately. This position is Monday through Friday during the school year with summers and school vacations off. In addition, this position offers competitive wages and great benefits including vacation/ sick leave, retirement system (PERS), and health insurance. Starting wage is $15.00 but will allow additional pay for experience. This Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all Columbus Public Schools will be dismissed at 1PM. The middle school lunch will be from 12:08-12:38PM, high school lunch will be at 12:38PM, and elementary school lunch schedule remains the same. Buses will pick up at the high school/middle school first and will then proceed to the elementary.

At this morning’s special school board meeting, the board approved setting the technology levy amounts at $200,000 each for both the elementary district and the high school.
Voters will see two separate technology levies on the school election ballot. This will be a mail-in ballot election, with ballots scheduled to be mailed in April.

The Columbus Cougar Volleyball team is offering babysitting for a parents night out on Valentine's Day! They'll provide child care, dinner, crafts and a movie for your kids, ages 0-10, from 5-9PM on Saturday, February 14 at Cougar Cubs Child Care (325 E 1st Ave N). Our district has seen quite a few SPAM email messages filter through in recent weeks. The latest one was sent out to our parents as well. If you have received a message from Mark Ranstrom, either from his personal account or school account, with the subject: ITEMS FOR SALE; please do not respond, click on any link, or send money! Mark it as SPAM and delete it afterward.
Please be wary of messages such as these. If you know the sender personally, call or text to ask questions! This will protect yourself and your information. If it seems strange or “too good to be true”, it probably is.
